In-house means in-control

What is in the TMG fabrication shop?

TMG runs CNC plasma cutting, tube and pipe bending, a Bend-Tech Dragon CNC tube cutter, and standard plus RUSH fabrication under one roof. Keeping these tools in-house means the parts behind every scope, plates, embeds, brackets, and curved rail, are cut and formed by the same company that erects the steel. That is tighter quality control and, when it matters most, faster schedule recovery.

CNC plasma cutting

Repeatable plate, embeds, and custom profiles

CNC plasma turns approved drawings into accurate, repeatable parts. When a job needs dozens of matching base plates or embeds, CNC control is what keeps every one to the same tolerance.

Cuts
  • Base plates and leveling plates
  • Embeds, weld plates, and gussets
  • Connection plates and shear tabs
  • Brackets, clips, and custom profiles
Materials
  • Carbon steel
  • Stainless steel
  • Aluminum
  • Exotic alloys

Max plate thickness: 2 in.

Tube & pipe bending and CNC coping

Curved rail and coped tube, in-house

TMG runs a Baileigh RDB-125 hydraulic rotary draw bender for smooth curved and ornamental rail, plus a Bend-Tech Dragon CNC plasma system that copes, notches, and profiles tube. Curved rail holds the design radius and structural tube comes off drawing-accurate, so feature and frame work stay on our schedule instead of getting farmed out.

Scope
  • Curved and ornamental rail
  • Handrail and guardrail returns
  • CNC copes, notches, and miters
  • Weld-ready structural tube
Capacity

Rotary draw bending to 2.5 in. OD tube / 2 in. sch-40 pipe, up to 200° · Dragon CNC coping to 24 ft sticks · all conductive metals incl. exotics

Pairs with CNC plasma brackets and posts to deliver complete, code-ready rail assemblies. See stairs & railing.

Standard + RUSH

How rush fabrication protects your schedule

RUSH fabrication is not about paying more for the same steel. It is about buying schedule certainty. When a trade slips or a part is rejected on the critical path, TMG fabricates to a committed turnaround so the date holds. The industry benchmark for expedited steel is roughly a 24-72 hour window, and we treat that as a commitment.

TierTurnaroundUse it for

RUSH fabrication24-72 hr rush windowSchedule recovery: a delayed trade or expedited package that has to hit a date.
Field-fix fabricationSame-day / next-day (local)Last-minute field corrections and replacement parts for Lowcountry jobs.
Schedule recovery

Recover time when another trade puts your steel behind. A committed part often costs far less than the delay it prevents.

Field fixes

Cut a replacement part fast when a field condition changes, then get it back to the crew that is already on site.

Local delivery

Same-day and next-day delivery on Lowcountry jobs from the Moncks Corner base keeps rush practical, not theoretical.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What can TMG cut on CNC plasma?

TMG CNC plasma cuts base plates, embeds, gussets, connection plates, brackets, and custom profiles from carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic alloys, up to 2 in. thick. CNC control means repeatable, drawing-accurate parts, which matters when dozens of identical plates or embeds have to match.

What tube and pipe work can TMG do in-house?

TMG bends tube and pipe on an in-house Baileigh RDB-125 hydraulic rotary draw bender, up to 2.5 in. OD tube and 2 in. schedule-40 pipe with bends to 200 degrees, for curved and ornamental rail, handrail returns, and radiused members, and runs a Bend-Tech Dragon CNC plasma system that copes, notches, miters, and profiles tube up to full 24 ft sticks in carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, and exotic alloys. Between bending and CNC coping, curved rail and weld-ready structural tube are both produced in-house instead of farmed out.

What is RUSH fabrication and when should I use it?

RUSH fabrication is an expedited tier for schedule recovery. When a trade slips, a part is rejected, or a package has to hit a date, TMG fabricates to a committed turnaround. The industry benchmark for expedited steel is roughly a 24 to 72 hour window, and we treat that as a commitment rather than a hope, so your schedule holds.

Is rush fabrication just paying more for the same work?

No. What you buy with RUSH is schedule certainty, not just speed. A committed turnaround on a critical-path part is often far cheaper than the downstream delay it prevents, because every trade behind the steel is waiting on it. We sell rush as risk removal for your date.

Do you deliver locally?

Yes. For Lowcountry jobs, same-day and next-day delivery is common thanks to the Moncks Corner base. That local proximity is what makes field-fix fabrication practical: we can cut a replacement part and get it to the site inside the workday.
