Finish-exposed steel on a fixed opening date
Hotel and hospitality steel is defined by two things: it is highly coordinated with architecture, and it has to be ready for a date the owner has already sold. Feature stairs and ornamental rail are guest-facing, so fit and finish matter as much as code. TMG self-performs the whole scope, detailing, fabricating, and erecting as one subcontractor, so the finish metalwork is not stranded between a fabricator and a separate erector when the schedule is at its tightest.

One team from egress stair to lobby rail
The riskiest steel on a hotel is the finish-exposed work: the feature stair everyone photographs and the rail people put their hands on. When the fabricator and erector are two companies, a field fit problem on that work surfaces late and turns into a scramble. TMG closes the seam. The team that details the stair is the team that hangs it, so tolerances are owned end to end and the opening date is protected.

What steel does a hotel project actually need?
Most hospitality steel is a blend of egress and feature stairs, ornamental and code rail, entry canopies, embeds and lintels, and miscellaneous metals. Some jobs also carry a structural frame or podium steel. TMG self-performs the full package so the coordination-heavy Division 05 scope lands with one accountable subcontractor instead of several.
Why does single-source matter for a hotel opening?
A hotel is built to a guest-facing opening date with rooms often already booked. Feature stairs and rail are finish-exposed and highly coordinated with architecture, so a split between fabricator and erector risks fit problems late, when there is no schedule left to absorb them. One team detailing, fabricating, and erecting keeps that finish work on the opening curve.
Can TMG match ornamental rail to the design intent?
Yes. TMG runs in-house tube and pipe bending and CNC plasma detailing, so feature and ornamental rail can be built to the architect's radii and profiles rather than value-engineered down. Guest-facing metalwork is welded and finished to a standard that reads as intended in the lobby, not just as code compliance.
Does TMG work with the GC on phasing and turnover?
Yes. Hospitality builds turn over floors, amenities, and public spaces in sequence. TMG sequences fabrication and erection to that plan and coordinates embeds, stairs, and rail so each area reaches its milestone without steel becoming the bottleneck.
