Where we work

Four markets, one steel subcontractor

Every market TMG serves shares one trait: the steel package sits on the critical path, and the date at the end of the schedule does not move. We self-perform structural and miscellaneous steel so the fabricate-to-erect handoff never becomes a coordination gap on your job. Pick a market below to see the exact scope, sequencing, and proof behind it.

The common thread

Why schedule-driven owners award steel to one sub

Splitting fabrication and erection across two companies opens a seam at the exact moment your schedule is most exposed: when shop steel meets the field. TMG closes that seam. We detail, fabricate, deliver, and erect the same package, so there is one contract, one QA/QC chain, and one party accountable for the date you are protecting.

01

Steel gates the follow-on trades

Concrete, MEP, envelope, and fit-out all wait on frame and deck. Slip the steel and every trade behind it slips too.

02

One party owns the critical path

No fabricator-versus-erector finger-pointing when a field fit goes wrong. The team that detailed it is the team that hangs it.

03

Credentials that clear prequal

AISC Certified Fabricator and Erector, AWS D1.1 welders, licensed and insured in SC, NC, and GA, bonded, with a documented OSHA safety program.

FAQ

Markets: common questions

What commercial markets does TMG build steel for?

TMG serves four schedule-driven commercial markets: data centers (our flagship), hotels and hospitality, retail and malls, and large commercial and industrial. In each, we self-perform the structural and miscellaneous steel scope, fabricating and erecting as one accountable subcontractor across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.

What do these markets have in common?

Every one runs on a fixed, unforgiving schedule where steel gates the trades behind it. Data centers carry liquidated damages, hotels chase a booked opening date, retail turns tenants over in phases, and industrial work moves at volume. Single-source fabrication and erection removes the fab-to-field seam that puts those dates at risk.

Does TMG only work in the Lowcountry?

No. TMG is headquartered in Moncks Corner, SC and gives a preference to local Lowcountry projects, but we serve the full tri-state: South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. Our Moncks Corner base keeps crews and deliveries close to the active Charleston-area data-center corridor.

Can TMG take both structural and miscellaneous steel on the same job?

Yes, and that is the point of single-source. Awarding structural steel, stairs and rail, and miscellaneous metals to one subcontractor collapses accountability to a single party, aligns fabrication with the erection plan, and keeps one continuous QA/QC chain from shop drawing to final bolt-up.
