We are hiring

Who we are looking for

TMG is a single-source commercial steel subcontractor that both fabricates and erects. That means real, year-round work in the shop and in the field for people who take pride in steel. We are actively adding ironworkers and support trades as our project load grows across the tri-state, with much of the work close to home in the Lowcountry.

We hire for attitude and work ethic as much as for a resume. If you show up on time, look out for the crew around you, take direction, and want to get better at the trade, we can teach the rest. Experience in structural steel, rigging, or welding is a plus at every level, and the certifications you bring or earn move you up in both responsibility and pay.

Roles we are hiring

Ironworkers

Set columns, beams, and embeds, connect and plumb steel, and rig loads safely at height.

Fitters

Lay out, fit, and tack structural and misc metal assemblies to shop drawings in the fab shop.

Welders

Weld structural and miscellaneous steel to AWS D1.1 under qualified procedures, shop and field.

Foremen

Lead crews, run the erection sequence, own jobsite safety, and coordinate with the GC on the deck.

The work

What the job looks like

This is hands-on structural steel work. You will build and set the frame that every trade behind you is waiting on, and you will do it safely and to the drawings.

  • Setting columns, beams, girders, and embeds
  • Connecting, bolting up, and plumbing steel frames
  • Rigging, signaling, and working safely at height
  • Reading shop drawings and erection sequences
  • Field fit-up, welding, and misc metals installation
  • Loading, unloading, and staging deliveries on site

Pay & growth

Competitive pay and a path to grow

Learn the trade on real jobs with hands-on mentoring, safety training, and steady hours.

02Journeyman

Take on skilled connecting, fitting, and welding with AWS and AISC training support behind you.

03Foreman

Lead a crew, run the sequence, and own safety and quality on the deck.
